A chaotic roster of human beings I voluntarily spend time with. They bounce around my life like atoms — unpredictable, high-energy, and occasionally crashing into each other.
The Roster
Judy — The only friend who actually bunked with me today. Everyone else had "plans." Sure.
Appu — Has never once read a message that started with "hey can you do me a favor." Has also never once NOT shown up when I actually needed help. A walking contradiction.
Rahul — Yes, that is me. I am the nucleus. Everyone revolves around me. At least that is what I tell myself while they all fly off in different directions.
Sanju — The friend who brings snacks to every hangout but eats most of them on the way. Loves only his girls. A generous soul with a serious shortcoming.
Vishal — The one who always says "add me bro" but never tells me what to add him to. A man of mystery and incomplete sentences.
C.Boss — We once played a cricket match and it was unclear whether we were watching cricket or watching DBoss returning from jail. Either way, it was chaos.
The Science
Studies show that friends are like atoms:
- They are mostly empty space
- They have strong bonds that occasionally break for no reason
- They spend 99% of their time doing nothing and 1% causing explosions
- You can never truly observe them without changing their behavior
Conclusion
If you see your face here and feel offended — good. That means you are paying attention.
If you do not see your face here — do not worry. You are probably an electron. I will get to you eventually.
